The Kitchen Ceiling

What is it anyway, about the kitchen ceiling? It’s been driving me nuts because I didn’t paint it well the first time (nearly two years ago). I knew there was 1/2 a gallon of paint the same color in the attic. Rob fetched it and I just spent the better part of the last hour painting. I feel better now.

And now I want to clean up the rest of the place, but Rob is taking his so called, Pastor’s Nap, something I promised to let him have after church every Sunday as long as he’s pastoring a church. It’s the least I can do to let him have one afternoon to himself. The man’s working two jobs and he’s tired. Plus I must admit that I am fairly high maintenance… though less than I used to be.

It’s snowing again, which means it’s NOT bitter cold, but probably will be tonight. My toes are toasty and that’s all I care about right now.

The dogs are asleep, guarding Rob against foes while he sleeps away this dreary afternoon. The cats are asleep, lolling on the bed in our spare room as usual. And I’m the only creature stirring. It’s the life, truly. And I am blessed beyond measure to be living it.

    Can you believe I’ve NEVER painted a wall or ceiling? :)

    EDIT:

    REALLY??? I’ve gotten kind of good at it, and I do sometimes like it… especially when I don’t make a huge mess. On Sunday, I didn’t even use a dropcloth. :-)

    David, not sure why, but for WEEKS now, whenever you comment, it ALWAYS goes into my spam folder. I try to always rescue your comments, and I’m sorry if I don’t always get them. It surely isn’t possible that you use a blacklisted word in every single comment? hmmmmmm
