Time Off
January 3, 2008 by Jayleigh
Well I enjoyed my 3 days off over New Year’s. It was lovely. And I’m still enjoying the two weeks I had off from Piano Lessons.
Oh I do love piano lessons, but they come each week on the ONLY morning I have free and sometimes I’d like to just rest. I plan on playing a little this morning, but not full-on PRACTICING.
Rob and I checked out our state’s site for becoming licensed Foster Parents yesterday. We’ll print off the application today and get started. It says under the best of conditions it will take around 2 months, so here we go.
I’m so appreciative of the love and support from our friends and family in this new direction in our lives. Whether this leads to fostering or to adoption, or if God has chosen this year to bless us with bio kids… we’re equally blessed. I can’t imagine feeling more loved or blessed by Him.
And yet, I don’t get the half of it. In my little human mind, I can’t comprehend the awesomeness of my God. And that’s ok, because Jayleigh’s mind is a bit foggy coming down after the Holidays anyway. Surely you don’t want a little mind like mine in control of the Universe, do you?
Yeah I didn’t think so.
Happy New Year, all!

Good Luck on the application. My husband and I filled on out for our state but have not been able to take the classes yet. My husband works nights and the classes were only at night ..but we fully intend to go get our state certification as soon as possible
I wouldn’t want a little mind like mine in control of the universe either. LOL May God guide and direct your steps in 2008.
I can’t wait to see you God has picked out for you! How exciting!
And kudos on the piano lessons. I quit piano in second grade and regret it to this day.
WHO God has picked out for you. Haha.
Oh how exciting! It does feel like a long process to go through all the paperwork, and the classes! It can all be frustrating at times, but if you were called to do this, remember that God will make it happen in His timing!
I am so excited for you! Thanks for including your blog friends on your journey!
love,
Christy
