Work was awful this week. I think we were all a little on-edge because of the inventory… but then some of the co-workers were taking it personally when the boss told them what to do, and that 1 or 2 took it out on everyone else.
Then today, my fave coworker Joan asked me to help her. I was busy and couldn’t, but suggested she ask another coworker to cover her for a few until I stopped being so busy. Little did we know that the third coworker overheard us and then was angry the rest of the afternoon. Neither of us was sure why… probably it related to the
BLAH BLAH BLAH
You know what!? I LIKE my job. AND my coworkers. And my boss. They treat me nice. I don’t know if they changed or if *I* changed… but I really, really like it there now. And I even said so to Joan this morning.
So do you think I am going to let that rotten evil one ruin my weekend? NO WAY. THIS IS NOT HIS TERRITORY! I am God’s child. In me, Jesus reigns as Lord and Savior.
So I prayed away the afternoon while I was super busy, covering my post and Joan’s. I prayed that God would touch our coworker and show her His love and melt away her frustrations and just show her that she’s valued and appreciated by all her fellow workers. My heart aches that she seems to be so unhappy.
Father God,
Thank you for giving me a compassionate heart. Please don’t let it run me off track, though. Thanks for my beautiful, wonderful life. Help me to see the good in everyone, and to spread your love around, and to not be jealous of others’ who seem to have a better or easier time than I do… because I don’t know what they have to deal with behind closed doors. Please be with my one coworker who seems to be so sad and mad lately. Shore her up and let her know that you LIVE.
Also, be with all the babies without momma’s and the momma’s without babies. And be with the ones who are in flux, or who have been waiting for what seems like forever for the love of their life to come along.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

I love your heart, girl!
You are an awesome friend/co-worker/person/child of God
