Rob’s is on Easter this year. My darling sweetheart hubby will be 38 in just a few days and he WILL NOT tell me what he wants for his special day. For my birthday, he spent a lot of money on getting a 16×20 canvas print of a photo I took of a barn near here in the snow. But he just won’t give me any hints about what he wants for a present, so I’m working double-time to figure it out.

One thing Rob does love and really needs, is pajama pants, especially when I sew them myself. I bought this super-cute Nascar themed flannel material last week at Hobby Lobby and I intend to spend much of next week making him some new Jammies.

Sewing

Speaking of making new jammies, I just finished a set for myself. It wasn’t exactly this material (I’ve spent over an hour trying to find a link to lavender butterfly seersucker material from JoAnn’s!), but it is very close.

I made a pair of long pants and a bed-jacket with bell-shaped sleeves. SO cool.

And I’m continually impressed that God would endow me with such amazing talents. I’m no master seamstress, but I do love to sew and I love that God gave me a heart for being creative and for adding things to patterns because I want to try something different.

I’m so blessed. And this is not all to gloss over yesterday’s post. Rob and I are kind of   numb right now… but we’re functioning. As I told my piano teacher this morning, you just put one foot in front of the other until it somehow doesn’t hurt so bad anymore.
