Grated Nerves

Posted in Food, Friends, Marriage at 11:14 pm by Jayleigh

We had an excellent turn out for the party tonight. We have some amazing food in the freezer to make tomorrow and the day after. We are going to get some amazing Pampered Chef things at an amazing price. Wowee!

But my nerves are grated. I’m not sure why. So to get over my yucky feeling, I’m going to go ahead and give 10 reasons why my life is the best, ever.

  1. Neighbor Dick mowed out front lawn today before company arrived. Our mower belt broke and the yard looked crappy. Now it looks awesome!
  2. The recipe we made tonight was sooo amazing. It was my dinner and I completely loved it.
  3. My sweet Rob got home from his Conference yesterday. I loved waking up next to him this morning. I love talking with him and being a couple together. He’s so amazing. I don’t know how he does it.
  4. My sis sent me an email today and called me “sisterfina,” a nickname we’ve used on each other for dozens of years. It makes me smile.
  5. My house is immaculately clean! YEAH!
  6. My doggies are asleep already. I love it when they settle down for the night.
  7. My boss wasn’t at work today, so there was very little stress.
  8. I found out today that I wasn’t invited to a coworker’s son’s wedding on Saturday. I really REALLY dislike pseudo-work events, because then Work Jayleigh and Personal Jayleigh are colliding. And I can’t help wondering if the reason myself and the only other people who weren’t invited, didn’t get invites because we don’t “party” like the rest of the crew. Like I said, I’m glad and it’s a blessing to not have spent my Saturday night around a roomful of Work people in a social setting. Euugghh.
  9. We moved some furniture around in the living room and it looks wonderful!
  10. I got some side-jobs at work this weekend for photo touch-ups. My prices are very low, but I love the work and it gives me great experience.

OK I’m so sleepy. I need to go to bed. Rob is making tons of noise right behind me and I need to have him stop before my nerves are even more grated.
