A coworker I used to detest, I rebuked in love. Without even thinking about it! Amazing! God is so good!

I used to be a hopeless, negative wretch. I saw it in my own face on our 15-year-old wedding video. Even though I looked sooooo pretty, I didn’t have HOPE. Come see what it’s all about, along with a cool pic of Rob and me.

Rob bought some gifts for me the other day. I knew about them, but he wouldn’t give them to me. I wonder why……

The weather in my heart this afternoon was bleak, but a series of events not under my own control led to unbelievable sunshine.
1. My Aunt Laurel called and asked us to pick up a batch of cookies from her home before we went to my folks’ for Easter Dinner/ Rob’s birthday. We got there and [...]

No reason why, really. Just cherished time to myself, along with [...]

I’m not typically known as patient. I know, you don’t believe me, do you? It’s true, though.
You are all such a blessing to me with your sweet and encouraging comments. It helps the wait be not so brutal.

Thank GOD I am not like that anymore.

She’s Here!
Shelly gave birth naturally on Halloween at 6 AM.
Kayra is 7 pounds 14 ounces and 17 1/2 inches long.
She has tufts of black hair.
Her feeding tube came out tonight.
She’s breathing straight air, not oxygen, and they’re weaning her off that tonight as well.
Praise God!!!!

Rob and I went to visit Shelly tonight. She was in great spirits because nothing is wrong with her or the baby. Shelly is going out of her mind with boredom, but she is doing well as is baby Kayra (still in utero).
We took Shelly for a wheelchair ride, which is the highlight of her [...]

40th Anniversary

My parents were married 40 years ago tomorrow. They are such amazingly beautiful people, inside and out, and I am thankful they have given me such a great model of a healthy marriage.

I can remember the day I told Rob, when he came home from work, that I was leaving him if things didn’t change. He was away from home around 65 hours a week at a job that took him so far away from me physically and mentally. He was so into his work, and we [...]
